Member 1025, 1032 posts | Ben_F said: You are wrong Matt, you could have had Masters 40-45, 45-50 etc... would have probably got at least 2 or even 3 in each class. If you run it on Summer Solstice you would have time. I'll take that into consideration ben. Maybe a 40-50 class and an over 50's class. I'll check my sun chart and see if there'll be enough sun hours that day.

The legendary Discus Ben Member 1550, 476 posts | I like this post! You've listed 20+ categories, with different events and claimed they will be ran in the same afternoon. We all know that this isn't going to happen, but lets pretend for a second it will work! Working on a minimum of 8 people in each class: That's 160 athletes, 100 events, 60 trophies, 160 T-shirts. You've also offered prize money to the top 3 in each category, with 8 entries you would make £160. What prize money would you offer? 1st - £100, 2nd - £40, 3rd - £20? Even then you would have to stump up the cash for the 160 T-shirts and 60 trophies... Lets assume you have the equipment and personnel to run all events head to head and have 2 different categories running simultaneously. Starting at 12pm you would have to get all 8 people through their 5 events within an hour (12 minutes per event) and then be ready to start the next category straight away in order to be finished by 10pm... If you were able to run 4 categories simultaneously (every event head to head, meaning you would need 8 refs, at least 16 loaders and a minimum of 4 time keepers/scorers) you would then have 24 minutes per event to be finished by 10pm... I wish you the best of luck with this! If you manage to get enough in each class to make a competition worth while and run them all in the same afternoon, it will be the single most impressive feat I've ever seen in strongman (plus you will be very poor)!

Craigmanc and Marc cherry do this in every competition they put on so it must be possible ben. During the one hour interval we will be having the local scout group performing some sort of act aswell.
