Squat
Barx5
60x5
100x2
120x1

Belt on:
140x1
160x0

As I was approaching the bar to squat, some idiot at the gym decided to start pulling face in front of the camera and was holding on the bar. This pissed me off so I told him to move out of the way (and called him a dick). Now this guy is twice my size and has an ego issue, so he got very agressive and threatned to end my life if I disrespect him again. After ten minutes of feeling pretty s**t, I tried 160 but dumped it. Was suppose to do 140 for 2x3 after but I wasn't in a good place so decided to move on to bench. Working and training at the same gym is no good. Its hard enough tolerating peoplpe treating me like s**t on a daily basis even though they can't even squat two plates properly (like the guy mentioned here).

Paused Bench
Barxlots
40x5
60x2
75x1
92x1
86x3

Horrible session. When lifting is the only thing that keeps you positive, its sucks hard when some idiot decides to ruin your whole day, even though I admit I should of been more calm about it, but I can't tolerate being treated like that, I feel like I'm back in secondary school again!

Not sure if It's practical, however when he's next benching, try and add some additional weight to the bar without him seeing or noticing Confused Good night Vienna.

Good idea in theory, however this will just make his spotter row even more weight, giving him more upper back gainz.

haha, great point. I was hoping Mehrad might attempt this when he's benching without a spotter. This could quite easily back fire and give the lad a new 2 inch bench pb though...

In theory this does sound funny, but unfortunately my own values prevent me from doing this lol. I'm tempted to quit this job, being a glorified gym butler isn't great, although I don't think I can afford to be a jobless narrow back (kind of like the guy mentioned today). A more rational option is to just train at my bro's gym which isn't far from here, the atmosphere is way better.

I'm surprised you don't train with him already, especially after something like that!

I think I saw you at Physical Culture a few months ago, was that a one-off or did you train there too for a bit? So many better places to train, surely!

Yeah I remember you! Yeah pretty much a one off, I wasn't focusing on anything at the time, just lifting for the sake of it tbh. Its a good gym and I've actually built a small but close lifting community between me, Jack, another Iranian guy who's been lifting really well considering he's new to it still as well as a couple of guys who train with the powerlifts, but when you work there as well eventually something is going to happen. Got no choice but to train elsewhere for the time being anyways.

Are you still training at Physical Culture? I think its probably one of the best gyms in SW London in terms of equipment, I've never seen a gym equipped with so many Powerlifting bars!

No micro plates at this gym so I had to adjust my target weights. Still losing weight despite increasing food at the beginning of the week, going to increase it some more and see what happens.

HB Beltless Paused Squat + Volume Dropset
Barx5
60x5
100x2
125x1
137.5x1
127.5x5,5,5 (not paused)

Paused Bench

92.5x1 (slow)
77.5x5,5,5

Deadlifts (Beltlesss)

Some people feel fresh as a daisy after a weekend of rest, I just feel rusty lol. Still not feeling confident with the new bar placement, tempted to play around with a Russian style bar position with a closer stance but that's just because I miss squatting more weight. Trained at Genesis again, it seems the times I go in its almost empty which is cool, paid a month there so we'll see how it goes.
