Love that, the gains that everyone is experiencing at the minute, and the depth of competition that is developing between me, Ian, the James, and Mark in particular it would be tough to put a case forward for any other gym in the Northampton area!

To be fair mark one of their 90kg lifters did just break the 100kg barrier!!! Oh and another managed to good morning Jenny hunters squat record... Awesome lifting Roll-Eyes Roll-Eyes

Merry Christmas to you too. I did get in some deads xmas eve though, as Mark no2 hit 230x3 on Sunday I tried 232.5x3 and got 232.5 2x2 not bad for a tourist. Grin

just seen on the rumour mill (Facebook) that big dave is enquiring about training at PTS!!! The place for the comeback I guess.

He will indeed, bless him. Think he is more interested in Faye and the other girls I think lol.

Has the farm though about extending hours (maybe 6-8 in the evening) or having a Sun or Saturday session? There is a notice just outside the hall that you can train in the college for something ridiculous like £12 a month (I think that would apply to students) so don't know why the college appears to be in-flexible.

Ian, you had better put your hatred of facebook aside and create an account and then start promoting the farm on there. The IPF/GBPF have a presence on there and as the GBPF forum cannot be accessed by non-members (asks for an invitation code), the facebook page is an alternative communication method. Some divisions don't even have their own websites.

We rent the weights room for £25 / hour Frank, with our discount we would need to get an extra 5 lifters per hour to warrant extended hours. That said, we already have the hours extended to 8 on Wednesdays thanks to the grant we received. On Mondays at 7 others users are in the gym. Weekends need to be booked months in advance.

We must remember that we are a club not a gym!

Not at all Ian, I'm not fickle, I have spent my time at the farm 3 years I believe coming out for the pleasure of your company.

I sometimes wonder why I'm not at a gym with scantily dressed girls in lycra though, but then I thought, where would all that inspired advice come from Grin

Although this was a max session, I had to clip it at the top for safety sake.

Strict shoulder press... 90kg
Log press...100kg

If I buckle down and manage this. 2015 could see me hitting the qualification totals for the senior British championship...
