This session was a tail of 2 halves.

Morning session

Deadlift off a four inch block

120 x 1.... 150 x 1.... 170 x 1... 180 x 1.... 190 x 1 .... All relatively easy... 200 fail.... 200 fail..... 200 x 1 real grind....

Really pissed at this session so dropped the weight and practiced tech... Dropped my hips a little got the bar traveling up my shins and something clicked.. Finished with 5x3 @ 150kg....

Sitting at home tonight I thought sod it... I'm going to see what I can deadlift with lower hips.

Session 2, deadlift from floor.

100 x 1... 140 x 1... 160 x 1.... 180 x 1... 190 x 1.... 200 x 1... 210 x 1

Mmmm something clicked. the last 2 lifts were hard but good and smooth.. Also I didn't use a belt this evening. Didn't feel any extra pressure on the back tbh and it felt more comfortable.

Sumo straight leg deadlift

100 x 8... 110 x 8... 110 x 8

Bentover BB row

70 x 10... 70 x 10.... 70 x 10

BB shrugs

2 x 20 @ 50 kg

Reverse band flys

100 reps

Good effort in the evening, why aren't you wearing a belt? Presumably this is max day or something for you just to do singles.

Was hoping to squat today but the legs are still shot from deadlifts. My backs fine so something went well..

Day off work tomorrow, so if the car passes it's MOT I should get to the farm. Fingers crossed.

Log press from floor

50x5... 70x2... 80x2.... 90x1

Strict shoulder press

60x5.... 62.5 x5.... 65x5.... 67.5 x3....
70x2.... 60x5

Nice quick session, with tech work I'll bang out 100-110kg within the next couple of months. On the pig press lol

Squats

5x3 @ 142.5

Wide stance goodmornings

3 x 8 @ 60kg

DB lunges 20kg per hand

3 x 15

Olympic stance high bar squat

1x50 @ 60kg, the idea is to not rack the bar until all 50 deep reps are completed. But my fitness is lagging so I did have 3 quick 20 second breaks during the set..

I can tell u this was the hardest session so far on the cube program. My legs are on fire.

What sort of fckn excuse is that! Has she not heard of taxi's?

My Mrs wont go on hers this year because everyone is taking partners, apparently the last time she took me I was an obnoxious t**t (nothing new there then) and embaressed her! Eek Eek Eek
Personally I don't remember it as I was too pissed which is not like me at all, somebody must have spiked my diet coke. Grin

Diet coke must be a new addition to your vocabulary. Yeah it is the quiet ones who are the most "dangerous" when they have had a drink or two.

Thanks Ian, going in the right direction. By the all england that bodyweight bench, will be somewhere in the past.

All kicked off on Facebook, between two Northampton gyms. Something about crossfit, walls, and strength coaches not being strong!!! All very bizarre.

I don't do Facebook. Too many people pretending to be more than they really are!
Besides, anyone in Northampton not training at the Farm is either on the supplements or third division.
