Hi guys, Recently got into strongman training when i seen an ad for Brian's unit 20 in dalmeny. Went along just before the year and loved it. Started going once a week but i thought new year i want to get really into it so now going 3-4 times. Really want the weights to improve this year so will be giving it my all. Just started a new routine, What are peoples thoghts on it?

TUE
OH Press 3x5 2x3
viking press 3x5 2x3
deadlift 3x5 2x3

THURS
Front Squat 3x5 2x3
Close grip bench 3x5 2x3
Tricep ext 3x8

FRI
Back squat 3x5 2x3
Bbell rows 3x8
Biceps 3x8

Sundays i train events.

Hi mate.

i'd swap TUE & THU workouts around completely. Squatting 2 days on the bounce may be counterproductive especially 2 days before event training on Sunday. I'm assuming your weekends will entail at least one night out? (Fri/ Sat???) You need your legs for a night outWink

do your thrusday on a tuesday and fri on a thursday and the you over head stuff on friday leave your back fresh for events

I do 3 different days
- deads/back
- OH/pressing
- squats
and some events when I get my lazy ass sorted and get over to the UnitHappy

works for me so far...

I'd so the squats different days like, probably just switch fronties with the rows? Can do fronts and still have a lot to give on deadlift, but if you do fronts then back squats, you won't have so much left to put into the backs.

I do both on the same day.
I do fronts,back then the next wk backs,fronts.
I think its working fairly well.
Gets all my squatting out the way on 1 day.
