Tonight
gym hectic so no squats ad planned.
Bench press
Up to 110 for five then 120 for three all fast and felt good.
deadlift
6x3@ 140 all very fast here.
machines
seated row 3x8 stack
Curls 2x20 @26kg dumbells
crunch machine 2x15 stack
some pull downs and then pull ups.
Too busy to get anything decent on racks tonight. Otherwise enjoyable session

Today
Hip flexor still sore so working on squat technique.
Worked up to long paused 140 then loads of reps with 100 (about 40 to 50) to try and get pain free, managed this by limiting opening hips until almost parallel then dipping past and not atg as I believe this is what is causing me problems.

Today
Bench press
20 reps at 100 over a few sets
Squat
Up to 160 then 3 X 5@130. That last session helped nail the form so no major pain, very happy here and looking forward to building up over next training cycle.
Deadlifts
Up to 8 X 3 @150 these felt light and fast.
Very good session, nice start to Feb and a new training cycle, ended up spending Christmas and Jan getting over niggles so can't wait to get training proper again!

Bench up to 125 paused, good
deadlift
up to 230, nice and fast. Followed this with a set of five at 210. All good.
Just checking where I'm at today and plan on building volume over next month.

Think I will stick to 160 over next few sessions and ain to get up to a 5 X 5.

Stepping up training now got something good to train towards, just entered my first competition in April so needs to get stronger, aiming for anything over 600 at under 100 bw nothing compared to others but got start somewhere.
Training with stu today he also entering at 75 bw class.
Bench press
up to 125 for a single then 2 X 3 @120, 1 X 5 @110 then 2 X 8 at 80.
Deadlift
Up to 235 for a single then followed this with 215 for five, felt good and was only aiming for three so pleased with the way Deadlift going.
Next session will be squats for volume at 160 hoping for 3 X 5 then 3. Also some more bench.
Training with stu today he also entering at 75 bw class.

bench press
up to 120 X 2 then 4 X 5@100
Squats
up to a 185 (slow) and then 3 X 5 @160 feeling good.
Good session getting fluid again. Tomorrow going to try rack puls or dead lifts from knee height as this is where my lift slows towards lock out. Not sure what weight but want to go heavier than dad's from floor. Also will do some upper body accessory stuff as looking a bit lean these days
