im seeking advice on improving lift of from deadlifts. for some reason ive become so s**t at doing 1 rep heavy sets. other day i failed to lift 205kg/200kg then attempted 190 kg for 5 then went on to do 195 x 3 and 197.5 x 2. anything over 200 is hit or miss which never use to be problem. im assuming training the bottom phase will help overcome this or it may just all be in my head

any ideas will be much appreciated. thanks

It sounds like technique problems - someone who's that much better at reps than singles tends to have a s**tty setup, but get "pulled into" a good one on the following reps
