Jabba said:Robbo, you're a star, I've used the slow cooker for the last two days. It's been in a cupboard for about 4 years I got out of the habit of uing it.

4lbs brisket, 2 finely chopped onions and one can of Guinness. Left it for 12 hours and it is incredibe Happy

Two of us had loads and there's still just over half left. Total cost ? About £6 and there's 2lbs of beef left for sarnies tomorrow Grin

Haha thanks mate. This slow cooker lark has hit me hard too. It's amazing! I've had it a week and already can't lie without it.

Here's one for the sweet toothed motherf**kers out there:

2litres of whole milk
400gr pudding rice
100gr caster sugar
Ground nutmeg
Ground cinnamon
Big f**k off handful of sultanas and raisins

Optional: half tin condensed milk.

This does need stirring regularly though.

Stir in some vanilla whey before serving too.

If you dont sear it you'll get a bit more fat floating on the top of the gravy. If you don't mind this then just bung it straight in.

if you're extra lazy like me you don't even have to defrost the meat first before slopping it in the slow cooker. just remember to use a tad less water and cook it for an hour or two longer.
