Trump will get another four years Member 126, 16708 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 225495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | This just got posted on SDF. Events look great. Shame I wont really be a novice by then: Severn valley Novice strongman and Britain strongest woman contest June/July 2008. Last year saw a new venue for the Seven valley novice contest but the same old great spirit of competition, this year we will be at the same place in Whitminster but the woman side of the event has taken on a different angle as this time they are fighting for the title of Britain Strongest Woman. The Mans side over the last two years have seen our winner go on to do very well in open events this years winner Keith finished in third place along with Paul Amor in the UK team event. My hope that is the Severn valley contest will be the one novice strongmen will want to win over all others. So to 2008 because of people putting there names down for events and then not showing I am going to run the entry a bit different this year. The entry fee will be £10 in Jan, £12 Feb, £14 March, £16 April, £18 May, £20 June and on the day £25. Every one will get a contest t-shirt and I hope a few other bits and bob’s. Events for both contests will be along the lines of the following, as always subject to change I will try to give as much notice as possible. Not the running order of the day just a list of events. Farmers walk or frame carry. Round robin max axle overhead clean and press. Arm over arm and drag. Loading race barrels and stones. Conans wheel or Yoke maybe both. Weights and a date will be added as soon as I know them. This is just to get the juices flowing and interest started.

Trump will get another four years Member 126, 16708 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 225495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | Carl - stop fussing you fairy. you could handle the weights no problem. I have been considering doing this again this year if the 105s dont happen.

left the country satisfied Member 10, 19241 posts SQ 240, BP 150, DL 270660.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | honestly carl, you are strong enough. Guys with lower total have nailed the comp in the past, so i think you will be fine and can do something in all of the events. Having said that, even a bit of event training will increase your results loads. Farmers will come in leaps and bounds, many of the other events seem like you can pretty much train for them without having access to the toys (good quality in a novice comp). Hit overhead hard for few months, get your push pressing going. You have a good base with your strong bench. Arm over arm is about hips more than lats/arms, you are a good deadlifter, so thats good for that. Loading events are what they are, if you dont get gassed easy, its really just brute strength.
