a large fingered spastic that demolishes plant Member 89, 31706 posts SQ 260, BP 220, DL 290770.0 kgs @ 142kgs UnEq | Right guy i thought i would ask what everbody views are on protein intake for development on an average day and what there intake is. i useing the rule of 1 to 1.5 x your body weight in kgs so a min of 148g and a max of 222 g of protein per day. i have spoken to some folk i know who are into or work in nutrition and they have all mentioned this 1 to 1.5 rule. as anything more is just waisted and not used by the body the way it is supose to now please don't think this is my view but it seams to be working for me. just wondered what everybody else thinks and does. cheers Neil

still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14374 posts | Rob will be on soon mate to tell you Protein is on the WADA banned list, has evidence so suggest that you will have health issues within 30 years if you keep this up you'll end up bald. Best keeping it natural

I just eat a lot and at most meals - and that takes care of it for me. Here's what I ate yesterday just to give you an idea (I'm on a bit of a diet post Christmas but I don't like to admit it - diets not being manly and all....) Porridge/Full fat milk/prunes (oh, yeah!) Driving to work - protein drink in water (yuk!) / banana mid morning - half my lunch box which is x2 chicken breasts baked in the oven night before - x1 cup of basmati rice with a cup of sweetcorn added lunch - other half of lunch box Four o'clock - x2 bio yoghurts x2 pieces of fruit (apples yesterday) Train - post workout 100g of protein in water driving home from the gym Dinner - Chicken dinner and a cheeky bit of apple pie left over from yesterday Before bed - Porky's patented protein drink No alcohol - driving me around the bend being on the wagon - I saw a T shirt the other day on a bird in Wigan which read "I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a drunk. Alcoholics go to meetings" - quality. If you can be bothered to let me know how much protein is in that great - personally I'm not too bothered - I know its enough for what I want.

Weak training is still training. Member 63, 260 posts SQ 135, BP 110, DL 195440.0 kgs @ 78kgs UnEq | Im interested in Joni's response to this, I seem to remember another protein thread not so long ago where he denounced taking protein (unless its made from peas)

left the country satisfied Member 10, 19241 posts SQ 240, BP 150, DL 270660.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | theres protein in pretty much everything, so i guess you will get some protein on all meals, but how much thats a different story. at the moment i am necking something around 200-250 grams a day. Should probably calculate it again soon.
