Nice work on getting gym PBs.

Hate to break it to you, but your bench won't pass in any federation. Thumbs need to be wrapped around the bar and you'll need to pause it on the chest. If it's IPF, you will also need to keep your head on the bench, but I'll presume raw with wraps = GPC. May I ask the logic behind lifting your head off the bench if it's unequipped?

Deadlift also was a bit 50/50 for powerlifting.

Strong stuff!

Agree with the comments on fed rules and whatnot. If you get around to competing, make sure you go through the relevant rulebook or have someone who can check you're doing things to the letter in training. There are plenty of little things that can mess up your meet if you're not prepared.

First - thank you very much.
Second - I have been to 7-8 meets already the past 2 years,
And had 2 certified judges in the gym that day.

But i am unsatisfied with the Deadlift, next time i promise a cleaner lift with more weight (;

Deadlift - as long as theres no downward movement, you should be fine

Bench - it's a fail IMO. You MUST have your hands round the bar, fully and keep your head flat... I'd also say that's why your bench is lagging behind your squats and deads which look to be strong!

Well i do have a bench of a russian 13 year old "girl", i dont think the form is the reson because i have changed it a lot but i do need to take a second look at it because i have a very strange ratio between all my press movments,
i can strict ohp almost 90kg, incline bench 100kg and do weighted dips with 30-40 kg for volume...

and bench 105kg Confused

and almost forgot - thank you Happy

Those are some extremely weird ratios! Good strength on deadlifts though, especially at 17

May I ask which federation? What did the judges say? Did they say it was good? Which fed do they judge in?

Gpa, gpc, 100% raw, ipl and some more federations.
The bench was a good lift, of course it's not universal for all the federations (grip, head, heel).
The deadlift was good except that i dropped it at the end (but grip is not an issue for me and it's not an actual meet).

I'm 100% aware that it's not ipf/uspal etc standarts. Happy

Nice lifts; but that bench is an accident waiting to happen.

Seriously.

I would really address that ASAP. If your ratios are so adrift in terms of pressing to benching; it is probably your body giving you a hint that something technical is holding you back.

You have a very narrow grip, mixed with tons of elbow flare. Add in a thumbless grip; and something looks like it is going to give.

Having been to A Few GPC comps and knowing a lot of lifters that compete in the GPC, I'm amazed your bench passes as for me, it's a straight fail. Sorry

high squat, hitched deadlift and crazy bench.
Put the numbers in the back burner mate and develop the technical strength now so you aren't fixing a detached pec in 3 years time.

Why deprive your connective tissue adaptations by using wraps when you are at an age where you can capitalize on it?

I'm sure in time to come you'll look back and wish you put the ego aside and was more honest with yourself.
I'm repeating what others have said and I'm sure, just like the other comments it will fall on deaf ears or be met with a counter argument too.

AMH has got it. And several others.

Being the powerlifting elitist that I am I dont even understand why someone would compete in a meet where its okey to squat high, not pause benches and hitch deadlifts. But, if those are the rules then there is still something to be said for cleaning up that bench a bit.

If you are a lot better at inclines and overhead than benching than it would seem fairly obvious that you have decent arm and shoulder strength, but lacking in the pectoral department. Now, there are two routes you can go. You can bench in a style where you try to only use the delts and triceps, or you can widen your grip, keep your head on the bench and focus on using form where the kilos might not be the highest at the moment, but where you can build more strength in the longer run. Also, a style of benching where you dont die from dropping the bar on your throat. Even with 105kg.
