has a pro grade bell Member 657, 720 posts SQ 162.5, BP 125, DL 207.5495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | Hi all, Trained tonight after a hard core weekend of relaxing with the Mrs at a spa break - felt pretty wiped today before starting - god knows why as I done bugger all but laze around all weekend and be massaged by a thai bird! lol Anyway, down to nitty gritty:- Speed Bench using mini bands 62.5kg * 3 * 8 sets 5" block press 100*5 110*5 120*5 PB 125*3 PB 2" block press 120*1 120*2 PB 120*2 Chins 8 6 failed 7th 6 Double Kettlebell Jerks 2*20kg *15 2*20kg*15 Double Kettlebell Clean and Jerks 2*20kg *10 - Bloody hard these were - need to work on my conditioning! EZ Bar Curls 30*10 30*9 10*7 Job done. Gonnna hit one more bench session at the weekend before having a de load and when my new bench arrives from JT Ill probably go for a PB attempt, at least thats the plan. Squats tomorrow before taking the remainer of the week off. | ||

Squats 60*10 60*5 60*5 90*5 90*5 100*5 115*5 130*2 130*2 130*2 130*2 130*2 Box Squats to below parallel focussing on speed 100kg *3 reps 100*3 100*3 100*3 100*3 Kettlebell Side bends 28kg * 15 L/R 32kg * 10 L/R 32kg * 10 L/R Job done. The 130's were not great, felt harder than it should have and think that last weeks thursday squat session was still taking a toll. Also seem to have a real tight spot in my right hand illio/saccral joint which seemed to throw my hips slightly when descencing and causing some tightness down my right spinal erector. Have had this before and am due a session with the physios accupunture needles so will get that sorted after my next and final heavy squat/dead session of this lifting cycle. | ||

Boar - yeah the kb clean and jerk is a great move. Lower back, hammies, lats, traps, delta, tri's - hits em all! Got some double kb snatches lined up for later this week, recovery permitting. Has to be my current fave kb exercise! | ||

Lol kettlebell single arm jerks 32kg x 20 reps (10L/10R) 32kg x 20 32kg x 20 kettlebell single arm snatch 16 x 60 reps swapping hands each 10 16kg x 40 reps as above Double kb snatch 16kg each hand x 10 16kg each hand x 10 16kg each hand x 10 job done and shagged! | ||

has a pro grade bell Member 657, 720 posts SQ 162.5, BP 125, DL 207.5495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | More conditioning with kettlebells today just for the hell of it! 16kg kettlebell swing x 50 reps 16kg single arm swing x 50 reps (25L/25R) 16kg kettlebell snatch x 50 reps (25L/25R) double 16kg kettlebell long cycle (clean and jerk) 2 minutes = 18 reps 2 mins = 18 reps 2 mins as above 2 mins as above 2mins as above kettlebell windmill 16kg x 10 (5l/5r) 20kg x 10 as above 24kg x10 same 28kg x 10 same 32 x 8 PB 4 each side cracking session, very enjoyable and will use this format for my next few conditioning sessions. Thinking on upgrading to a 40kg bell now! | ||

Probably best relevance for powerlifting too - ESP then double snatches. Did enjoy the windmills though - cracking exercise. | ||

Flat bench 60 x 5 60 x 5 60 x 5 75 x 5 90 x 3 100 x 1 110 x 1 120 x 1 120 x 1 120 x 1 120 x 1 120 x 1 all above paused 2" block press 110 x 5 110 x 5 110 x 4 failed 5th one arm rows 20kg x 10 25 x 10 30 x 10 30 x 10 30 x 10 side laterals 8kg x 8 8 x 8 8 x 8 ez bar curls 30 x 10 30 x 10 30 x 8 failed strict 9th all in all a very good session, 120's all felt good with decent pause on chest. Back is a bit f**ked really tight in lumbar region. Sports massage later thank fully | ||
