This is gonna sound like I'm being a c**t but i am just curious, do you always squat high in training? And if so does it not affect you in comps?

You'll very rarely see Macca squat high tbh, the 263kg looked a bit tentative but when its a PB its going to be a bit, he'll smash it lower and quicker next time, whichever way, at a genuine 83kg and drug free, its awesome lifting in anyone's book.

Thanks for the comments lads.

My depth is fine, I never cut squats and even when my hips are tight I'm always just in.

You have to bear in mind that my thighs are f**king massive and if they look even remotely parallel from the front my hip crease is well below my knees.

Also, as Mr L has pointed out, the camera and angles plays tricks (paralex).

I have had my squats passed at the highest level (IPF world's) including everywhere else, so I'm happy I know what I'm doing.
