Your squat is looking particularly good. Lot of weight considering how difficult low box squats are. Glad to hear you are at Genesis. Yeah, they increase your power and ability to grind out of the hole. Low box squats and low squatting in general consistently will mean you don't have to worry about hitting depth in contest. | ||

‘downsizing’ Member 5704, 3226 posts SQ 280, BP 210, DL 320810.0 kgs @ 96.3kgs UnEq | 14/4 Genesis Deadlift off low blocks ~10inch bar height off floor 60xloads,3x100,2x140,1x180, Straps on 2x210,2x240,2x260,2x280 Deficits - bar on toes low all overhand grip (no hook) 2x140,2x150,2x170,2x180 Pulldowns 6x6 Back wasn't 100% so extremely pleased how damn easy the 280 double was - think next week the bar will have a number beginning with 3 on it... Deficits were fast too - but very low from combination of slightly smaller than comp discs and a 1/2 inch mat adding to the height of platform there. | ||

It's a shame because I'd benefit immensely from being around more experienced and stronger lifters. | ||

‘downsizing’ Member 5704, 3226 posts SQ 280, BP 210, DL 320810.0 kgs @ 96.3kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 21.04.2015 @ 17:50 PM by matthewvc change - going to do 3x week for while now. shoulder and back are not recovering from trying to do 6 sessions. day 1 - heavy bench/light paused squats + assistance day 2 - deadlift / oh press + assistance day 3 - heavy squats/light bench + assistance mon local gym up north - GTR went into limp mode with only 1-3-5-R available. so it limped up north to be dumped on my drive until I can flatbed it to Litchfields for investigation, which is 4 weeks time due to how busy they are. hoping it's something easy to fix like solenoids or shift fork. close grip all paused bar x loads, 8 x 40, 5 x 60, 3 x 80, 2 x 100, 1 x 115, 3 x 130, 3 x 140, 3 x 150, 5 x 130 squats paused wraps but no belt bar x loads, 4 x 70, 3 x 70, 3 x 120, 3 x 150, 3 x 165, 3 x 170, 3 x 175, 3 x 180, 3 x 185 pulldowns 5 x 5 semi-light start. CGBP is good for a fair bit more. squats felt ok | ||
