Perhaps having a novice comp with the weights for the 105s then an open for all weight classes with the open weights with the highest placed 105 getting an award could be the way forward

Ok we have been in talks with pardise wildlife park and look at the issues with competitor numbers and can squeeze in more head to heads on some events

as such we will now uncap the competition

Hi Glen, I noticed that last year you mentioned having Northern and Southern comps this year. Is this going ahead?

unfortunately not this year - again just the one show, with the amount of time being taken up with the new nutrtion company it just wasnt practical as we have new products coming out regularly and tons of stuff to do for that

next year we want to have a southern qualifier and a northern qualifier (will be looking for someones help on this one up there in the wildernessGrin ) and will probably get it registered like a federation which will then allow us to do out of comp testing as well to really try and keep it as drug free as possible

I don't think sports not recognized by the national body can just sign-up and start having testing conducted by UK Sport. For independent associations, they may elect to follow the WADA code, but all testing, in and out of competition, is conducted in-house.

My suggestion, if Glen wants to go down the drug-free route, is to approach the IAWA (UK) with regard to affiliation. The infra-structure for testing is already in place and as well as an affiliation fee, a proportion of entry fees would go towards testing, so no separate provision would need to be made.

Col, do IAWA test outside of comps? I know quite a few guys who have competed in IAWA comps and never known them be tested out of comp?
