Mighty effort - how dynamic were they? full ROM?

I find a great carry over from heavy GMs to about 70 degs..cant get near 160 though! Impressive.

I also find that going to about 70 degrees is the most beneficial. They were not lightening fast, but there was a great deal of acceleration through the lift.

Currently half way through my Royal Navy,Phase 1 training. Over the last 5 weeks, I've lost just over 1 stone! I was able to get some gymt ime on Saturday, but the bar could only take 240kg, which I pulled happily without chalk or a belt HappyCan't wait to get back into powerlifting!

About time I carried on my journal.

So, my phase one RN training stripped me of 2.5 stone and cut my lifts in half. It left me with a 8:42 mile and a half time, which is cool, but weakness is not something I'm a fan of.

For the last 8 months, I've been trying to regain my strength and size as much as possible. Coupled with CV 3/4 times a week and injuries, I've found it quite hard, but things are finally moving my way.

My current stats

BW - 84kg
Squat - 230kg
Deadlift - 290kg
Bench - 145kg

My lifts may not be what they were, but its only time until they are. My deadlift has progressed more than anything else, probably because I f**king hate bench and I've had a lot of trouble with my patella ligament, which has made me ease off squats a touch.

I'll be updating with my training as of tomorrow.

Edit: I also intend to compete with the GBPF in stead of the BDFPA, as they have stronger competition.

Nice to see you logging again. Your lifts are still impressive as hell and I'm sure you'll be a contender for titles in the gbpf.

I was feeling really crap before my workout(dizzy, lethargic and just awful), so thought I'd be going man-down in the gym. 12 small scoops of Pulse v4 later...

Patella tendinopathy has set in. Decided to have an ultrasound today, turns out that I have a 4.2mm tear in my patella tendon. Less than ideal but could have been worse. This being a factor, I'm not going mental on the squats, sadly.

6x220 - easy enough, but saving myself for Thursday - all out DL day.

Strangely, I didn't feel the same pain that I had earlier on.

180 - easy
200 - bit of a grind

220 - borderline comfortable, but too much irritation to my P.T., so I left it there.
