Anybody know any good ways for making weight for the weigh in i`m currently 93kg when i get up and dont really want to diet too much mainly cos its s**t and I dont want to lose any strength?

Try flushing your water through a few days before.

3 days out, If the comp is on Sunday

Thursday - 8/10 litres of water, with every litre consume 1000mg of Vit C

Friday - 10/12 litres of water, with every litre consume 1000mg of Vit C

Saturday - 10/12 litres of water, again with every litre 1000mg of Vit C. Stop drinking around 5.00pm that night and take vit C before bed. If you don't finish water by 5.00pm don't worry.

On the morning of the comp you will hit weight if done as above and just sip water if needed.

This will strip water from the skin.

Also take dandelion root if you feel the need.

I also did this before a comp for u105kg and never missed a weight. I was normally around 109kg.

I never lost strength doing this.

Good stuff. To add to the complexity, what if your weigh in was the night before the comp?

Not eating through the day sounds suboptimal...

I went from 115kg to 108kg in a couple of days by doing something similar. It works.

this is advice I recieved off little_a, always worked great for me:-

From about tea time the night before cut out the fluids, but make sure you have some to hand. (Glucose/ maltodextrin mix is ideal). Assuming you're only 2-3K over you dont have many worries. Have a hot bath, as hot as you can manage, at about 8 ish. Cut out solid food from this point on.

If there's a shower curtain pull it round. Try and wear a hat and get a good sweat on going. Try and hold that for about 1/2 hour. Keep an accurate set of scales handy. Keep a constant check on the bwt from this point on. Once the weights starts to come off through fluid loss it comes off fast so dont let your weight drop below 106. If need be top up with carb fluids and snacks. Get to bed in as many layers of clothing as poss, but make sure you're comfy. You need to sleep ultimately. You'll probably lose .5-1K overnight like this.

Wake up, shower, get dressed back into a few layers off skins again and cut food and fluids until you weigh in. Again, keep a constant eye on the weight as you dont want to lose too much. Get to the venue early and have a trial check. I'd be very surprised if you have anything to lose at this stage so it'll probably just be a case of holding it, but if not get layered up again and go for a brisk walk.
Not mad cardio, just enough to get you moving. Get weighed in as soon as they let you and you are happy that you'll make the weight, to give yourself as much time to replenish what you've lost as possible. Eat and drink like f**k until about an hour before you start.
20 mins before - red bull type of thing, and have a steady stream of carb drinks and fast carb snacks.

How will it f**k you up? Im not saying it wont, but id love to know what you think it will do?

Truth be told a lof of boxers use something very similar without the vitamin C and it works very well.

If you need to do this for a comp id suggest you dry run it first. Some can actually lose much too much water this way and so you need to get an idea of what it will do to you and work out exactly how much you're going to need to drop.

WHY???? where is your comparision and information on how to much Vit C with have a negitive reaction to the body.

I currently consume 3000mg per day and up it when I feel down... I'm still alive and well.

well there are many ways to skin a cat, but if I was to use the water trick, then I will load it earlier in the week and cut it down later also I do think 30g of vit C will be too much on an overkill for a first timer especially with 3kg to lose. I wouldn't even change too much to lose that, just cutting food and water at 3pm and going to sleep with 5g vit c will drop 2-3 kgs. a black coffee on an empty stomach in the morning on the way to the comp will give you another 1-1.5 kgs. People tend to get too nervous and are not patient enough in the beginning of the cut, I have been guilty of it in the past and you start doing stuff that are just not needed.

When I dropped 7kg I started on Thursday morning and weighed in on Saturday. No need to start too early.
