Just a quicky as going on hol tomorrow, been packing all weekend it seems.

Skin the cat, to front tuck lever:
2 sets of 5.

Climber pull ups:
2 sets of 8.

Purple band supported one leg squat:
2x5.

Basingstokes strongest novice u95.

Weighed in full clothed at 82.1kg

Event 1: Max DL
1: 200kg good lift
2: 215kg good lift but injured back and glute

Event 2: 85kg axle FTOH
3 reps, failed 4th caused a bit of pain

Event 3: 240kg yoke 20m
Only managed about 6m had to stop due to pain
First time I've not finished a yoke under 300.

Event 4: 60kg block carry & press
3 reps, took it easy as to not aggravate back further

Event 5: 350kg tyre flip
0. Tried to ease into it but could feel muscle pulling

10/11 in feb I was good for top 3...
Not actually that bothered tho. Will have a break from competing now, unless I decide to do an u80 31st oct.

Just done some exploring and it's the top of my glute. Think back has spasmed after yoke because of it.

Climber pull ups
8-8-4

Vertical pulls
3 sets of 5

Tuck front lever
Total 30 seconds took many sets! Very hard after the vertical pulls.

Straight bridge
2 sets of 8 was aggravating glute/back

Head bridge
1 5 second hold same issue

Skin the cat
1 long hold

This was a hard one. Glad to get back to it tho.

It's was defo my s**t DL tech that caused the issue. Only hurts when I round my back now...

I ripped my glute. It still isn't right going on 2 years. The way I made it somewhat better was to not go heavy. Once the engine starts straining it's time to park it. Smart move, if your mind can accept it. I was undefeated in college wrestling my sophomore year and a guy was taking that away. I got hurt but kept going. Stupid. I still am stupid at times. You made a wise choice.

The only real battle is the mental one. Right now it's easy. I'm sure there will be times when that will change. But think I'm focussed enough right now.
