Really looking forward to it!

Im new to Sugden and new to powerlifting having only been training for it for the last 9 months. Awesome sport!

Did my first meet at Litchfield in feb this year totaling 625KG (220, 145, 260), then went to Rhinos gym at Oldham a few months back and totaled 670KG (240, 150, 280). Just finished our last cycle 2 weeks ago and managed a very pleasing 710KG (250, 160, 300). Gonna post the lifts on youtube this week! :-)

Be nice to hear from anyone else who has qualified and how your preparation is going, esp any rival 110KG lifters out there!

Could you just explain exactly what you mean by "cycle" Rhino's to the best of my knowledge host BWLA events and that is a tested federation. So obviously you don't mean by cycle what most people would think you mean. Or do you ?

No i have just finished a huge course of dianabol and human growth hormone, really adds the pounds to your lifts, thats right guys, ive been taking cycle after cycle of gear in preparation for a DRUG TESTED British finals, in a DRUG TESTED federation. I mean ive only trained all year for it, what does it matter if i get kicked out? In fact i plan to use a stack of anabol/sustanon/stem-cells and human flesh in the week before the comp to really push for the title...... Come on guys!!!!! Im sure you are aware of periodization?? (Anyone who doesnt cycle there training is doing it wrong), but hey its cool, i get it all the time :-)

Our "cycles" are 8 weeks long and we operate on a pyramid system. Early weeks lighter with alot of volume and gradually getting heavier till we peak with a new 1RM on week 8, by which time we are doing around half the volume of week 1. Have not failed to PB on any cycle and have gone from a 605kg total at 98kg to a 710kg at 109kg in 9 months.

Take it as a compliment! People obviously think you're strong.

No one ever asks me whether I'm on gear Unhappy

There is good news and bad news. The good news is that you have convinced me, the bad news is that it isn't me you have to convince

Fat Pete you have to be kidding? Please tell me your kidding??! Either "Team Sugden" has no sense of humor at all (unlike myself :-)) or there are alot of haters out there! I neva knew the word "cycle" could cause such a stir!!

No disrespect to you Pete cause your obviously a strong guy, but i cudnt care less if your convinced or not. I have no idea who you are mate! I train with BWLA 2007 bench champ Dave Harding, who at 99kg has totalled 700kg raw, if we had £1 for every person to accuse us of taking gear then i wudnt be getting up for work tomorrow!

So lets return to the reason i posted in the first place. Anyone else competing and how is your preparation going? :-)

Don't worry about Pete. He's never planned a cycle in his life. Alan tells him what to lift and he lifts it! And he virtually mixes with some dubious types for whom 'cycle' has a rather different meaning. And he's probably winding you up. Successfully!Wink
