i mostly train the events that are coming up in my next show 2 events a day maybe 3 on saturday if i feel good example
tuesday- deadlift, sled drag
Thursday- Logpress or axle press.... tire flips
Saturday- yoke or farmers.... keg or stone loads.

solid idea. i take it if theres a squat then you'll train squat. but your getting enough work in your core / low back with farmers, stones, yoke and deadlift. still interesting and its clearly working. maybe be we should all think out side the box to develop.

I would train this way I'd imagine if I had access to SM kit on a daily basis

But I'd throw in some squats too, just 'cause they're a great all round strength builder

March 17th- I'm 9days out from my heavyweight debut lol... You can watch the live webcast here.

12" log pressing- This close to a show i'm in cruise control, just touching the equipment, and working on judges calls nothing crazy. The event is a max log, and i plan to hit 300lbs+ (136kgs+) stay tuned

warm-up
145lbsx5
180lbsx5

working sets
200lbsx3 two one motions
220lbsx3 again two on motions
240lbsx2 1 one motion
250lbsx0 one motion fail!!
260lbs(118kgs)x1 not one motioned lol
then worked down to 240x2, 220x2.

Saturday will be my last training day before the show, but my camera cam was waiting for me when i got home tonight, so i might try some heavy stuff Saturday just for fun.

March 19th- 1 week from my heavyweight debut and i'm surprisingly light, i gotta start eating. Remember to watch the show here LINK show starts at noon est.

I took the new camera for a spin and it looks good. check the vid below and i weighted in at the end for all that are curious Cool

Log press: i just log pressed two days ago but it's my weak point so i wanted to hit it again before the show

180x3
200x1
220(100kg)x1
230(105kg)x3 clean each... fail 4th rep and dropped the log on a keg that was to close to the platform and bent the log. FML

Keg press
200lb(91kg)x1 failed 2nd rep

i have no idea were to get a rail sleeper so i used a telephone pole i found, in the video this was my first time even touching it, and i had no idea what it weighed, after i pressed it i could tell it was light so i'm going to add weight and try again

128lb(58kg) telephone pole pressx1

Ford expedition truck drag 60' then push 60' back
truck weight ~6000 and we had 4 people in/on the truck to make it heavier.

super stuff mate !! very best of luck in your comp with the 'big lads'

do you press an IFSA size log ? i think its a bit fatter than 12 inch, but im not sure, may only be an inch or 2 , but it may make a difference when you do the log press at ESM ...

im working really hard to qualify but there are doezens of lads wanting one of those 12 spots !! so i may just we watching you !!!
