It never ceases to amaze me how ridiculously oversensitive and downright stupid some of the people on these American boards are. It's similar to the raw/equipped where anyone who is at all sceptical of the motivation behind bench shirts, or feels that it represents an unfortunate stage of evolution for powerlifting is described as a "hater", who can only be saying this because they're jealous.

The self-satisfied arrogance of the posters married to their clear lack of understanding makes for a very annoying combination.

Buzz, David, Wogihao, Boar - I totally agree with what you say. That was why I stopped going on FI as well (BB.com is even worse, though I think FI has actually deteriorated lately), but fool that I am, I went back now and again and fell into the trap of actually posting. It's awful that it seems so prejudiced, but the fact is that the predominantly American boards are full of arrogant, rude, hypersensitive pricks and pointless ad hominem arguments about nothing of substance. I think most of us think MT's gone downhill a bit lately but it's paradise compared to the American boards.

Yes, I agree mate. It does make MT look good in comparison but give it a year or two..
