Getting more consistent with heavy grippers again. #4s these days feel harder and Super Elites easier than I remember? Thanks mate

Nice squatting sam, watch the injuries though hitting PB's so soon, not feeling any niggles during or just always do regardless of weight? Yes #4's have got harder from what i have been told off matt cannon (who regularly rates them) average rgc poundage is closer to 100kg now (215lb+) where as it used to be under 95kg. As for super elites think it depends if its a thor one, any thor one i have tried has been just under #4 level where as the normal ones more like a hard #3.5.

Thanks mate. It's over a year now since my surgery, so I decided to start putting some weight back on the bar. Not rushing anything but I have done a 300... I really want 317.5/700 next time I step on the platform.

I have 2 bricks of #4s... I can kill my BBSE on a good day and best I can do with the #4s is 30mm to 15-20mm... awful really. I would say as a rough guideline an elite is an easy #3.5... a super elite a hard one.

s**tty day, work a week late paying me, just a load of general wank. Stuff gets to me a lot more when I'm using a little more than my prescribed TRT dose but such is life.... anyway,

grippers at work

right hand,
#1x20
#3x1long hold
elitex5
#3.5x1,1 best ever this was grinding tonight
super elite 7mm missing
elitex1,1,1,then 5 clocks
#3x3,3,3 speed closes

left hand
#1x20
#3x6
elitex5
#3.5x1 long hold
super elite x touch and go think it touched briefly
elitex1,1
#3x5 with top 2 fingers only

strong but I am fed up of security work, dickheads and nights

To anyone new to my journal I am working my way past the #3.5 which I am now pretty consistent on with either hand, my max close is probably a 3.55 right and a 3.7 left if that makes sense, and to anyone wondering if I can close a #4, nope, I am miles off. Every numpty over on the gripboard that closes a #3 with their stronger hand announces that they are training 'for the #4' like it gives them some sort of mystical presence, it is amusing. I've been smashing #3s since I was at school and am still years away from closing anything that resembles a #4...
a #4 is tough, not easy #4s that get passed around the gripboard, for the deep set close with 2 hands and face the camera crew to take it turns to 'close' before the ritualistic mutual masturbation session that follows. wa**ers. People like that give grip a bad name.
