High squat from last night, got a good amount of knee flexion, but can see I didn't sit back enough and knees came very far forwards, also weight appears to be quite far over toes.

Going to practice the sit back with 250 this weekend and see if I can get a better line. Requires me to have more confidence in back, but should be OK to push on.

Went down help the local PL club do a mock meet for its members, so jumped in for some lifts.

Squat
20*6
60*6
100*5
150*3
180*1
Suit and sleeves
220*2
250*1 got to parallel
Suit and wraps
270*f managed to get depth but lost knees in at bottom and no drive out. Think I lost the line a bit, was trying to force knees wider and sit back more. Know the strength is there from Wednesday. But left squats there.

Bench
60*5
100*3
130*3
140*1
Slingshot
170*1
48 shirt
180*2 non jacked could.could take down to 1.5" but not touch.
50 shirt, loose on first, then lightly pulled down but not jacked.
180*1 touch
200*1 touch but line too high - press out very hard
210*f touch but line off and ended up in poor place to press out.

Don't think lifting fasted and fatigued is the best approach. On the plus side I don't appear to have gained any more injuries...

Comp wise, your qualification totals are not hard. At YNE I would just get some practice in in the suit but be pretty conservative.

At the english bench the week after I would let them have it.

Then take a step back from heavy training and look at getting the back sorted.

Sounds a plan, just need to decide what shirt to wear - will probably use loose one for yne and then think about the tighter one for the English. Hope to test it next weekend to see if I can get it to touch...

Have you got the super Kat or standard? Either way it's a difficult shirt for a beginner! You'd probably get more out of an F6 or Fury right now. Let me know if you want to come to the uni this week, I need a second bench session at some point.

super katana Grin

It's part of a longer term plan so went for a baptism of fire. The larger one certainly makes a world of difference to ease of use!

Probably going to be resting quite a bit this week as my body is f**ked. Think I'm going to leave final bench session until the weekend and just do some light fluff work.

Lots of aches and pains, going to have a major deload for the most of this week, do a little equipped work at the weekend, and then deload into comp, comp, then deload into comp.

Upper back injury is less bad, but most other joints are aching.

Having lost a lot of time injured I've had to concentrate my equipped lifting more than I'd have likes (otherwise there's no point going to comp) so have pressed on.

Knee and lower back feeling a bit hammered from the failed squat, unsure if I lost lower back tension resulting in caving in, or whether in caving in I lost my lower back and confounded the problem.

Feel very flat and tired, need to get some more rest in and de-stress a little from work.

Going to have regular hot baths, bit of anti-inflammatory medication as required, bit more soft tissue work this Friday and try and relax.
