I get you! Sounds like a reasonable plan.

I must say I do have DOMS in the outermost pec insertions today which I never normally get..must be something to do with the wider grip I took yesterday.

Then get on and do your dam duty! Tongue

ok ok, no more comments about DOMS, pecs or biceps any more!

today's fun:

squats...60, 82.5, 97.5 and 110x 5's highbars without belt...then with belt for...130x3 lowbar without wraps..added wraps for..140x3 x 2 sets...140x8...

benches...60, 82.5, 100x 5's....110x3 x 2 sets...

deads...107.5 and 127.5x 5's without belt....then with belt for...140x4...162.5x3...170 and 175x 4's....180x6...150x6...

Sumos felt really nice today. Hit the groove well on all lifts. The 180x6 was smooth, another 2-3 reps in the tank easily there too.

You seem to be taking to this style of training well!
dr_hazbun
Yeah, it's working for now. Just high volume basic three lift training is what I need. It's what the Russians do really, nothing fancy just basic training.

oh biceps are one of my favourite topics! Happy

you probably know just too much anatomy and physiology for your own good mate Tongue

brutal training lately, good work!
dr_hazbun
Thanks Joni. I'm trying hard, goal is equipped 220/150/230 @ 90 so we'll see where this training goes.

Officiated at student meet today. They asked me to organize the meet and do the reffing. 11 contestants turned up.

Benches caught eveyone out in a big way. Very few train paused benches regularly if at all and many were very surprised as to how difficult proper benching is! Some guy was bragging a 145kg bench at 75k BW for weeks in the lead up to this meet and to be honest to him I had seem do a messy 140 touch and go in training with some feet shuffling and ass lifting so he's a fairly strong guy at that bodyweight. 125 didn't budge off his chest today after a pause! lol

Nice day all round. I actually quite enjoy reffing. Might consider taking a proper course at some stage.

Tongue Sounded like fun Sam. Good to see you bring em down a peg. At my uni gym you'd be luckly to see the bar reach their chest let alone pause on it!
Avatarnico
where are you based Sam?
