After being horrendously ill over the weekend i weighed in at 109 after getting back up to 113. I was quite annoyed.

Heavier i get on these the more leg i try and use then i end up just jumping off the floor so my knees bend when i land, ala s**t power jerk. 120 was acceptable but any more and i would have had to have used more leg.

Fast tracking power athletes into powersports, i made it through from 800 in phase 1 to 16 in phase 2, don't know what the cull was for phase 1 but fairly large. I've got until january for the next phase so i'll probably actually get some practice in doing olylifting by then. Also i have no idea how to move s**t from my phone to the computer.

Sounds like a worthy time investment, if only i was 10 years younger...maybe i could make the final 800
Seriously with your basic leg strength and age you could successfully convert to oly, irrespective it will continue to help your throwing, which by the way shot and disc or just shot?

I feel alot more athletic doing weightlifting, and it seems to strip fat off me, i got through to phase 3 where i think they actually test our maximums then set targets, whether it's strength, power or flexibility. I'm only doing shot, i'm too short for discus really, i enjoy the throwing and when i finally learn to land closed and block i'll actually throw something respectable. Your dad approves, i do enjoy hearing him say i look more like an athlete every time he sees me.

Cheers wayne, hopefully creeping them up slowly. Tweaked something in my shoulder yesterday so was only going to do powercleans, worked up to 125x3 and it wasn't liking it.
