One of the best known names in British Strongman has been handed a suspended prison sentence after allegedly punching a clubber whilst carrying out his duties as head doorman at the Coast Nightclub in Newcastle.
The incident occurred in September 2008, but the decision was handed out at Downpatrick Magistrates Court, on Tuesday. Judge Gerry Trainor described Ross as "evasive" and "completely unconvincing".
Ross has been handed a six-month jail term, suspended for two years, and has been ordered to pay £500 compensation to the victim.
