The site initially started as a small website for a training group in the Manchester University gym, but has evolved into one of the web's leading strength communities.

Over the past decade the site has been visited over 6 million times and served over 66 million page impressions. Visitors have spent a combined time of over 135 years using the site.

With 1.3 million forum posts from 5,914 members, the site's forum has proved a constant source of both entertainment and knowledge.

We'd like to thank all sponsors, visitors and particularly our members (both past and present) for your contribution over the past 10 years. Here's to 10 more.

21st August 2016 - Posted by Rob Brian Shaw has successfully retained his WSM title, taking first place for the fourth time in Botswana on Saturday, with Thor and Ed Hall following in second and third place respectively.

Shaw has now finished on the podium in seven of the last eight WSM competitions, and the result further cements his position as one of the greatest strongmen of all time.

Fellow four-time winner Žydrūnas Savickas did not compete at the championships due to injury.

All you have to do to enter is to tell us about your favourite lift ever - it could be a lift that won you a competition, or a PB in training that you were particularly proud of.

From a small group of lifters in a Manchester university gym the site now has several thousand members from across the globe and close to 1.3 million forum posts.

We'd like to thank all members and visitors for their support over the years!

Sugden Barbell would like to make a special mention for Team England weightlifter Shaun Clegg who will be competing in the 69A group which takes place on Saturday night from 7.30PM. Good luck Shaun!
