just thinking of a bit of a routine while i carnt squat or dead, so upper body strength

so shoulders and chest, was thinking of doing these on same day, but unsure if i do somat like 5x5 on each or low rep high set. would it be to much on my arms?

then upperback and maybe good mornings to try and keep some strength in lower back.

what you guys reckon, reckon i got another month or two with the bust knee.

any ideas of a routine. much appreciated. only looking at 2 days a week

cheers

i don't think goodmorning would be good for the knee, if you could do chest supported rows, pulldowns to the chest and behind the neck, also face pulls and seated shrugs this will take the risk of further damaging you knee away. hope it gets better soon

face pulls- use the rope attachment of a pull down machine and then use a light weight say 20kg, grasp the rope with both hands and stand in front faceing the machine and then oull towards you face with you elbow high in a rowing motion, you should feel the burn in your rear delts and traps. give it a shot

seated good morning, hyper extensions, these will strengthen your back with no pressure on your knee

just done a search on them, look intersting.
ive been doing weighted hyperextentions, forgot to put that.

what you reckon tho, on a rep/set basis. pyramid most of them, or have bench and military press pyramid

face pulls, hypers etc maybe a 3x8 and rows pyramid or 5x5?????????

and reckon i could split like that ok?

sorry for being a numpty but still new to training for strength so still get it a bit wrong, hence why i need to check with you guys

Don't do 5x5 for everything... it takes too long and it gets too boring.

If you do it I'd do it for the first exercise of the day, then do a different scheme on your assistance.

You can also do an incremental 5x5 - e.g. 100x5,110x5,115x5,120x5,125x5

cheers guys. did a good back work out, few diffrebnt excersies some i liked and some i didn,
shoulders and chest tomoro, thinking of bench press, 4/5 or so sets pyramiding, maybe similar with military press, and was also thinking maybe 3sets on incline dumbells.

what else could i do to assist shoulder strength? was thinking would shrugs at all work say farmers and carrying exercise?
