Sorry for flogging a dead horse, but after yesterday and the fact the were at least 5 105ers (including the polish beast that won) I no longer think there is no need for a u120 category! Simple choice man up and take on the big lads or f**kin diet and take on the big lads!

X3 after watching a closely fought heavy comp on saturday and a closely fought open battle today.. Colin jones pressing all 3 blocks at a bodyweight of? 110 at a guess..

By stop being scared of failure! I can understand the fear factor but size doesn'.t make you strong will power and commitment do! Look at the likes of king mong hixx, shaniac, cleggy. And tom martin. By no means the biggest guys on the scene but ridiculously strong!

Not the issue

Don't care about winning and losing, I do this for a laugh, so should everyone else

What Robbo quit for, THAT is the issue

To be fair though that was an intermediate comp' (at least the advertised weights were).

300 16" deadlift
130 axle, 130 log, 100 block
150 stone for reps

So top 105s in contry beat some intermediate opens and it's all pointless

Isn't this the whole idea of the class lol so bigger 105s and intermediate opens can due battle

A) Those were not the advertised weights.

B) There was a Novice comp' first and an Open comp' third... I think the one inbetween was Intermediate by virtue of this.

compare that to an English UK qual event, those events are inter or light open IMO

They're actually quite similar Martin

the UKSC North open had a max 16" pull...which you must acheive 300

It had a 140 axle for reps...not a million miles off Bodypower weights

I would agree with you though, in that, if UKSC were to use the Bodypower weights or similar for their qualifier, the strongest 4 guys would still win through
