Just a slight change - in the medley, the washing machine has been replaced with a steel block.

Same weight, just more awkward to pick up and less likely to fall apart if dropped!!!

Hows the fundraising going? I have just broken the £500 mark!!!! Remeber the minimum is £100 but there is no maximum and every penny counts....

Best of luck in your training, really looking forward to this now...!!

Hi,

Does anyone know the pick up height for the car deadlift? Are they all the same?
Matt, if they vary, do you know the height for this one?

Is it standard 10inch from floor? Or 18 inch etc?

Thanks

James

Looking forward to the comp! Approaching £150 sponsorship

Hi to all - very exciting, comp is not far off now!! I have already raised around £600 sponsorship for myself!!! Hope you are all doing well.

As you can see, we have had some people pull out for various reasons. This has left us with plenty of people for the competition, but we can accept two more novices and two more Intermediates!!

They would still have to get the £100 minimum sponsorship however!!

Anyway, I will offer the places with priority to those on the reserve lists, but if anyone is interested please let me know (PM please).

Regards
Matt

Matt did you see my Q about the car deadlift, mate?

Do you know what height the bar will be pulled from? Is it higher than a standard bar or down there around 10 inches?

Are lifting straps allowed? On any of the events?

Cheers mate

James

Very pleased to welcome Matt Smets and David Nash to the Novices. Packs are in the post lads.

We have space for one more intermediate.

Just in case there is any confusion, I wanted to just point out that, on the 1st of April CHASE childrens hospice merged with SHOOTING STARS hospice to become CHASE SHOOTING STARS.

This is because there was not enough charitable donations to keep them both open!!! They had to merge in order to stay open and share resources. Our competition will support the newly merged CHASE SHOOTING STARS hospice care.

Information is still available on the website

http://www.chasecare.org.uk/news.asp?itemid=1886&itemTitle...

If you havent taken a minute to see why we are doing this - please just take a quick read, it wont take you long. Just have a look - it will make it all so much more worthwhile!!

Remember - £100 minimum sponsorship to be paid in on the morning of the competition at the venue before we start. Failure to raise the minimum sponsorship will mean you cannot enter so PLEASE GET THE MONEY FROM PEOPLE AS YOU GO ALONG - you wont be able to collect it afterwards, we need to hand it all in on the day!!!!

Thank you all so much for your brilliant support - good luck!!

Hi,
You can set up a justgiving page if you like. As long as you can bring evidence of the minmum sponsorship and you make it clear that it is part of the CHASE CHARITY CHALLENGE so it is included in our total (this is because we then get letters from the hospice with the grand total which we send out to everyone who sponsored etc).

Whatever you do, there must be evidence of the minimum sponsorship (you can just send me your justgiving link if you like).

Glad to have you on board - (my justgiving page has done over £500 so far!!)
