Weren't there any reserves lined up? Where are they? Let's see who turns up on the day, and let's see how Lawrence wants to play it.

LOADS of spectators (biggest I've seen) MC was top draw !! Some events took a while and it was sad to see wayne's injury (reminds us that we all only human, just) Log, 90kg - 9reps (3rd) ... Thought I had 8 but pleasantly surprised once I'd finished ! Farmers, 90kg a hand - 50m (3rd) ... went in the last race, the fact it was 4 guys to a race made it ultra competitive. The last race was lighting fast, leading by 2m into the turn but after the drop I rushed the grip on the ULTRA long farmers !! 5m from the finish I had to re-grip and got piped into 2nd place in that race Deadlift, 220kg 15" - 10reps (5th) ... Very steady to 8 reps, maybe took a bit too long rest but ground out 2 more reps, while the axel looked the part it was polished stainless steel, making it very slippy. So much so lads were having trouble even gripping with straps! Tyre 320kg - 8 flips in 75sec (5th)... Very! smooth tyre similar to the the ones at swindon, one side of the tyre allowed you to get your fingers under much easier! Stones, 110kg over 4 1/2 ft yoke in 60secs - 8reps (4th) ... Thanks to Si Cowdrey for getting loads of dust and grip off the stone. When we arrived we all thought it was 110x3 , 120x1 , 130x1. But understandably 4 guys at a time took a lot less time in an already long day! Very slow stone returner !!! he almost didn't seem bothered to roll it back to me! Possibly could have got 1 or 2 more if it was returned faster!! Overall 5th by 1 point (can you tell I'm bitter as an extra stone rep would have got me 4th!) But all in all had a fantastic day! A big thank you to all involved!

Member 848, 13 posts SQ 310, BP 225, DL 370 905.0 kgs @ 160kgs UnEq	Just an update on Wayne - he went to Harlow a and e and was diagnosed with torn pectoral tendons and tissue - he went back to crewe the same night and had an op to repair the damage , he is now recoveringand back to work . Hope he takes the time to re-assess things and maybe re-think training to avoid future injuries as much as he can .
