Have entered the Welsh u90's in May off the back of a fun push/pull comp back in December which went very well.Deadlift and squat have been going very well this year. Main things i need to work on for the comp are yoke and overhead. Fitness is also s**t so this needs some work. Started the program this week. Main focus points will be: general trunk strength, single leg / single arm work. I tested yoke and while I could move the comp weight for the distance (330kg) it was unstable as hell and i was wobbling all over the place. So not fast. *** Wednesday BB From Floor Hyperextension 8 x 80kg 10 x 70kg Seated DB Overhead Press 10 x 30kg 10 x 26kg Reverse Hypers 10 x 20kg 10 x 18kg Rope Cable Crunch 10 x 64kg 10 x 54kg *** Thursday BB Walking Lunges 12 x 80kg 12 x 70kg BB Hack Squat 12 x 110kg 12 x 90kg DB Push Press 12 x 32kg 12 x 28kg Hanging Leg Raise 10 x 5kg 10 x BW *** Friday Low Block Deadlifts 5 x 190kg 5 x 170kg Seated DB Overhead Press 5 x 30kg 5 x 26kg DB Lunges 5 x 34kg 5 x 30kg Decline Situps 8 x 12kg 8 x 8kg *** Keeping things light for a bit with some higher reps to get back into the swing of things. Today was a light day before some more deadlifts tomorrow. Should be doing some yoke and carries on Sunday too which i'm looking forward to! | ||

Yoke 30mtr x 270kg 30mtr x 270kg 15mtr x 270kg 15mtr x 270kg 15mtr x 270kg After the first two sets my speed was dropping too much so reduced the distance. Low Block Deadlifts 8 x 210kg 8 x 190kg These felt great. Trying to save my lower back a bit after yoke. Flat DB Bench 12 x 35kg 12 x 27.5kg Some accessory stuff at the end. I'm surprisingly s**t at any dumbell exercise. Overall decent session, really sore today though. Hopefully these breakfast burritos will sort me out! | ||

Building up volume gradually so stopping just shy of it being a grinder. Bodyweight over the last two weeks has gone from 91 to 88.5 so happy with how that's going. | ||
