Member 1706, 43 posts SQ 265, BP 145, DL 288698.0 kgs @ 114kgs UnEq | For 18" deadlifts, you traditionally measure to the bottom of the bar, not the center. http://www.nastrongman.com/pdf/Standardized%20Strongman%20Rule... USAWA says the same thing, but their website seems to be down at the moment. So, to answer your question, 18" is about 18.5" high.

To be honest, I'm not sure it's possible. Probably for good reason too. Many a sleepless night have been spent trying to figure out how to 7's and 12's... not a road I would encourage travelling down... s**t, I did 12" other day for some unknown reason, god I feel such a fool , but on the plus side I maybe the default 12" deadlift record holder , was gonna try 18" but didn't have enuff matting to build it that high, but I did have a tape measure

Has achieved nothing. Member 1386, 292 posts | Hello Sugden, I'm 14. I've got some questions for you strong people. 1.) How high is 18 inches. I tall and fat so is it the same height for short people? 2.) What is a novice? If i have competed in stronmgan but never won anything am I a novice? 3.) If I use straps on a deadlift are they considered raw or equipped? Be gentle I'm a n00b. kthxbai
