People are dumb, uneducated, naive and often just plain c**tish.

Do what makes YOU happy and f**k what anyone else thinks because the harsh reality is no one else really gives a f**k.

And anyone who bothers enough to criticise you isn't worth your bother.

bothered me more single than now i've got a GF.
that isn't an invitation to become a slob now lol, but i think the pressure of social media to look amazing is terrible.
sadly, losing a lot of flab and getting somewhat 'hencher' did work with attracting women and younger and fitter ones.
everyone is suckered into the whole health mag model thing.

I suppose there is no way of getting around it, if ur fat then u r fat, but can be strong AND fat like someone said. I haven't had much look in with any birds since the extra weight gain and that also comes down to what someone else said about the muscle mag like physique, it's a shallow world lol. I do however, have satisfaction when I get on the bench in my gym and push what the majority of the roided up disco boy lifters can't manage despite being "ripped" and "cut". You get a strange look between disbelief and admiration lol

Can someone be non-fat, and strong and natural? Or would this require freakish genetics

Bingo!
And if you are fat but strong, then your strength needs to be at a level which justifies the extra blubber.
Problem is in this day and age, when you have people like Rob Ward, Shane Jerman with videos on FB showing freakish strength levels, it's hard to justify (to the layman anyway) not being their strength when you are 30kg heavier. Social media has made it seem like lots of u90kg lifters can deadlift 300kg when the reality is there are probably only a couple of hundred in a WHOLE population of 60-odd million.

Dead as fook to me !

The way I see it is, in general its crap being fat. People want to be lean and look good, for themselves and for the opposite sex. Some people on here, myself included, compete in strength sports where its hard to be very good at and not be fat unless you are on the insulina so they choose to gain weight for increased performance (but it does get really annoying). Some people aren't very strong but are fat and use being a powerlifter/strongman as an excuse for being fat. These people might not be bothered about being fat or they might be too lazy to be able to lose weight or they might have a bit of a complex about being heavy to feel like a proper lifter. To anyone that is starting lifting or is a heavyweight but isnt competing that seriously, basically anyone with numbers that dont really justify their bodyweight I would reccommend leaning out as you wont lose much strength and will feel and look way better.
