I actually wouldn't class myself as an expert in this specific area. Just knowledgeable.

Neither do I really know enough about the 'breakfast of champions' to know who this will really effect your protein requirements. I am guessing a bit but not actually a massive amount.

Supposedly "they" also increase the efficiency at which you use, absorb the stuff you eat in general. There's a good argument to suggest you'd possibly get by with less while "on".

today iv had over 300g. it doesn't even happen on purpose anymore, it used to be hard to get 150g, now the thought of getting as little as 200g seems hard. maybe im buying the wrong foods

Bump!

Do people still buy into this numbers bulls**t??

Everyone is different and I would imagine it depends on 'other supplements.'

I have tried 200g a day. I have also tried 350g a day. What was the difference? Did I recover any better?

I recovered exactly the same, only I was fatter and farted more on higher amounts.

To quote the great Derek Weida "f**k your macros"

calories are more important.

in a deficit you can eat all the protein you want but the gains won't come as quick if at all
in a surplus as long as you are eating a reasonable amount e.g. min of 1.2g / kg then strength increases.
that amount is easy to consume without even actively going for high protein (e.g. shakes, loads of chicken etc)

everyone overestimates how much is needed.

If your not on gear, high protein won't do much by the looks of it.

If I'm reading that properly there were significant differences between the calorie intake of the high protein group and normal group and yet there was no significant difference between there body composition and bwt?
