AKA the great reset Member 4056, 5207 posts | I'm a big fan of Shaw and Thor. I prefer Thor to Ed. He's a great all rounder. Thor is like a large Pudz.

Against Shaw 6 points is an awful lot. It's like others have said, Shaw just doesn't have any real weaknesses. Him and Thor, and to a slightly lesser extent janashia, are showing that consistency is the key at the final. Hall will be happy that Martins didn't do great on plane pull though as he was looking like he might overtake Hall into fourth at one stage. Edit I see the guy above beat me to it. As an aside I'm quite impressed with Eddies plane pull. I thought he might gas a bit before the end.

Agreed that it's a lot to make up but my point was that Shaw is so good that being 6 points down is not bad really. You've seen how fast things can changed. Everyone was saying yesterday that you could hand the trophy to Shaw. Thor beats him on truck pull and people are saying it is his to lose.

My point is, he has terrible events. He will always have that bad event or two. If he drops weight, he won't beat Shaw on Deadlift. His two strongest events, he had to share a lead. I'm not trying to lay into Hall, but these are facts. He couldn't beat Thor overhead, or Brian on deadlifts. They were his bankers. He is still a very good strongman, one of the best in the World. However Imo, Shaw and Thor are just genetically better athletes.

But Shaw doesn't drop huge points, he is good at everything. Also Ed's two ace up the sleeve events have gone...Shaw and Thor have two very strong events for them left. If the kettle bells are very heavy I expect Shaw to win, same with the stones. If speed is the decider then Thor will win, if weight is then Shaw. The last stone should be 500lbs

He has been a strongman for years and tends to do well on moving events.
