I genuinely can't remember all the events to work it out. So much emphasis was put on the deadlift the rest of the comp was somewhat overshadowed. I never saw a proper write up for the rest of the events. I think they need to change the format next year to keep its strongman identity. Yes have a dead lift but get rid of this deadlift champs thing and make all events equal. Spot on. Hall pulled an amazing lift-granted-but Loz won a hard and heavy event to become the strongest man in Europe, but who even knows that after Hall's amazing lift??

Loz won't beat Hall in WSM with those events. Hall will beat him on 5 of them and Loz will be probably be in the bottom few on a couple. He will win frame though.

Member 5141, 4186 posts SQ 300, BP 180, DL 350830.0 kgs @ 130kgs UnEq | Andy_f - it was car walk that cost Thor, he finished about 6th or something. Other than that he was top 3 in everything i believe (might have been 4th on frame?), as well as winning deadlift and stones.

Yes he's pulled out of comps after heavy deadlifts before but he always said his priority was deadlift world record and wsm. I'd say everything he's done has been working towards the big picture

AKA the great reset Member 4056, 5206 posts | I predict 1. Shaw 2. Ed 3. Terry 4. Loz Big year for the Uk, but Shaw if injury free, will blast through them events.

I hope Terry does well but feel that 3rd is a little too optimistic. Caron has been getting better every year, Arsjo should be well up there too.

It's only 2-3 events a day I'm sure he'll be fine Brits was an absolute joke of a competition compared to WSM, both in weights and in the pressure of competition, plus he's way heavier now. Z has never been 410lbs at all, nowhere near it. Z is also a much larger person than Hall naturally. I have stood next to both of them, and Z is just a much more athletic man, with his enormous weight packed in a different way. Z has not gone from 20 stone to 30 stone in four years, and nor does he carry that sloppy fat all over his body like Hall. Z also does not have massive blood pressure issues, or insulin face. I find it amazing tbh that people who seem so knowledgeable about strongman think that it's possible for somebody who struggles at moving events, and regularly requires oxygen after events, to somehow win WSM, despite failing to complete an elite level comp for a full year. Like I have said, stick him in a powerlifting comp against the half squatting Lillibridge and co, and he'd destroy them after a short period of specialization-he's that strong. I also think the bench record would fall. He could likely raw deadlift over a grand also. He will not win the WSM in the shape he is in.

For me his version in 2010 and 2014 ASM is the strongest man ever. Especially pressing. I believe he was stronger than Hall at the moment, except deadlift. And his overall in much better condition, never seen him pass out after truck pull or another moving event.
