I reckon 85.5kg should be your highest, recommended drop for 2 hour weigh in is 2-3% bodyweight so you've be just in off 85.5kg

Cutting weight sucks ass.

My worst is 108.5 a few days out (am naked weight) to ~104 at comp. Not as much fun as it sounds. move up to 93s or eat less. Tongue Tongue

93s tempts me. As training round this injury I am not really going to be competitive again at 83. I might as well enjoy myself and throw around a load of weight on the bench (relatively speaking).

Having said that it feels very much like taking the easy way out. Will probably come down for the next comp and see how hard it is.

It is very hard to resist but I think there is a lot to be said for not going over 90% in training.

It will be very interesting to see if I can still put weight on my squat and deadlift while only doing 1 working set of each per week and hammering accessories. Quite a nice little experiment.

I find journaling helpful so going to journal my build up to the british bench champs.

On the scales i was 87.9kg this morning. I have cleaned up a few things and expect this to drop nicely in time for the comp.

In the gym bench has never felt better. Lets hope it can survive the cut.

bit the bullet and booked in for a BUPA muscoskeltal specialist to have a look at my hip.Hoping they might even make it alright again.
