Back to the Wirral again today for two sessions of reffing. Some good lifting and some odd things came to light, excessive chalking of the hands. even on squats and one guy, who when deadlifting even chalked the backs of his hands !!!!

Whilst I don't expect everyone to do deadifts a la library there some seem to be a worrying trend now of slamming the bar down in the manner of a man who is actually trying to break the platform. Very strange

A shade over 76 mpg on the way there and a shade under the same on the way back so I will go out on a limb and say I averaged around 76 all day.

What up pete?
What is gu?
Slamming keeps your strength, but for the life of me I cannot learn to slam. I feel ripped off. I guess I wasn't born with a golden spoon? You can theoretically lose not being a slammer because of timed events.

Good question. It is unintentionally short for "guy who" My apologies, I thing and one speed and type at another. Usually I type faster. I have editted

But it does nothing for your confidence. I am a great believer in confidence

Pete's holiday, day one.

Woke up this morning to find that one of the plastic pieces on my glasses, that rest against the nose has decided to split in half. They are quite old glasses and have served me well, and had this happened as I was donning or removing them I would be less surprised. But as they lay on a table while I was asleep ?

It's a funny old world. I now have to swing by the opticians on the way out for dinner.

You really are living a rock n roll lifestyle Peter! Happy

It is becoming rare to hear of people getting their full use out of things whether a tube of toothpaste, a vehicle, or even a chair. Appreciate 4 syllables. Just like the 4 notes that made Beethovin famous. Hope I spelled that correctly.

Yeah right !

You should have seen me last night though. No cheese and no eggs but a helluva good time, so much so I missed City's goals on match of the day and didn't wake up until two in the morning. Beat that !

I do enjoy a good syllable.

Happy days, the optician very kindly supplied and fitted two new nose pieces for free. I decided that a spare pair of specs would be a good idea and so ordered some while I was there. I have just discovered that I can claim the full cost back of health policy I have. As I say, happy days.

Monday, 24th August, start 15:45

Holidays encourage one to do nothing, which is strangely more tiring than being busy.

All the 107s were paused and quite enjoyable

Tricep pushdown
30 x 10
35 x 10
40 x 10
45 x 10
50 x 10
50 x 10

60 x 16
60 x 17

As I sat gasping after the seventeen, I knew I could do it. It was going to be hard but it was definitely on. I was sweating into my eyes but I grunted and gasped my way through it.
Total of 171 which I do believe is a record. The drop to sixty kilos seems to be paying dividends.

This may be a tough one to think about. What were you thinking when the reaper appeared from the burning fogginess. They say children's imagination fades as they age. The gift is still there with you, ape, rick though. Pure thought. What a joy! I will do the yoke in appreciation now.
