Very strong lifting Luke and even stronger first name.

I used to have issues with grip and in addition to simply holding a deadlift for longer as others have said, I found that high rep DB rows really helped. Using a weight that I could keep rowing for ages so my grip would become the limiting factor.

I'm in no position to offer advice, but I doubt I could get much leg drive on bench with my feet right in front. I have mine wider apart. That said, it probably depends on bench height and personal feel.

Im trying to reinvent my bench, in all honesty im no where near as clued up on the bench as i am the other lifts (evidently), so will play around with different feet positioning! Thanks for your input Pete!

Thought I would post in here for more advice, this is the second time I have dropped 265kg in comp, apart from having a s**t grip, is there anything I'm doing obviously wrong, if it is just s**t grip, what are the better exercises to improve grip specifically for deadlifting?

Thanks for any help

Luke

Had weak grip 1 year ago from strap use decided to bite bullet and learn hook
Plate curls + thick bar holds and single arm deadlift holds were my grip staples
Never did a grip crushing movement at all. Hook is a lot about getting used to discomfort as much as strength.
