I've just ordered some bumper plates from them at £1.75 ish a kg couldn't believe the price, that bar sounds good!

Where did you find them at that price for? I've just googled Wolverson bumper plates and on their website they are about £3.20/kg. Still far cheaper than Eleiko but not £1.75.
Confused

aH, cool. Cheers for that, I only looked at the coloured ones. Pity the 20's are out of stock. I might just keep checking in on these.

If never heard of wolverson before but their power bar specification certainly reads well, it could well be the answer to this frequently posted question of which bar should I buy? Would be interested to hear from people who've owned one a while

When Sob's arrives we'll give it some hammer and compare it with my Eleiko power bar.

You and Sob got any thoughts on how it compares yet?

Eleiko now do a crossfit bar with both bench & snatch marks on the bar, but price wise it could be a case of mother sell the pigs & buy the bar!

i've had a TBP for a good few months now and really like it. knurling is pretty rough so great for deadlifts and the centre knurling is good for squats too. for someone at my level its probably the best about.
eventually i would like to upgrade but need to justify the cost. got amortgage etc to pay and if i dont actually need a bar costing over 1K, i wont get one. yet.

Used it 4 or 5 times now, really stiff and good knurling.

The oxidised finish has worn slightly from benching which isn't an issue unless your bothered about the appearance.

I used the Wolverson power bar today and have to say that I was impressed. We used it for deadlifting heavy and the knurl felt great and it was nice and stiff. It didn't feel dissimilar to my Eleiko.

I would say that it is the second best bar I have used for powerlifting, nicer than the Okie, TPB, and for £200 is a bargain.

How is the wolverson bar holding up?

The guy that owns the one straight bar at my gym may be moving so I'm looking at buying a replacement.
