Was mainly for deadlift, bench and cleans. I want a good quality bar with good knurling to stop my hands slipping

Get a weightlifting bar then, especially if your doing cleans with it.

I would go for one of the Rogue bars as a utility bar for powerlifting, cleans, pressing etc, or a Pendlay for a little more.

Powerlifting specific bars are not great for anything other than the 3 lifts, whereas an Oly or multi use bar are great for powerlifting as well.

I would have to disagree. Oly bars are really not much use for PLing. No better than PL bars are for Oly lifting really. If you want to do both, seriously do both, you need two bars.

We are talking one bar for multi use.

An Oly bar would be better for that than a powerlifting bar without a doubt.

Oh there is doubt, a huge amount of doubt. If I were allowed only one bar it would be a powerlifting one. There is as little doubt in my mind as there would appear to be in yours. Very much a difference of opinion.

Just ordered a Wolverson Bison bar, 29mm, lifetime guarantee and tested to 216,000 which is very close to the ivanko at 218,000.

I will do a little review.

Initially was going to go for a texas power bar, but recently heard some mixed reviews and it also has a massive mark up in cost compared to the US. Ive been recommended a Pendlay WL bar by some, think that falls into that price range. Also been mentioned that there's an ivanko you can get from pullum which is supposedly excellent, comes in nearer to £600.

I'm interested to hear what people have to say myself.

£370 for a Texas Power Bar....

Price wise they are hard to beat, im not being naïve so I am not expecting great things from the bar.

On paper the specs look good so will wait and see when it arrives.
