Cheers, the 145kg triple was pretty tough. I'm sure I'd get 160kg comfortably if I was fresh.

Good effort yesterday btw, I'd have come over to speak but I'd been boozing the previous two nights and wasn't in a particularly sociable mood! I can't believe you and Danny are u105kg by the way.

09/09/13 - Overhead

Strict Press
40kg x 5, 5
60kg x 3
70kg x 1
80kg x 1

No more, right bicep started giving me hassle, so I decided for a complete change of plan...

Deadlifts! - Conventional
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
170kg x 1
200kg x 1
220kg x 1
240kg x 1
262.5kg x 1 (PB)
272.5kg x 1 (PB, 600lbs, get in!)

Then I finished up with some lat pulldowns and single hamstring curls. What I thought was gonna be a rubbish session turned out alright in the end Happy next stop, 290kg. Slowly getting my static strength to where it should be to be competitive at u105 next year...

Vidya of the 272.5.

Didn't really know what to train tonight as I did the deadlift PB last night and pressing wasn't working with my bicep, so I trained arms.

Lots of high rep, strict curls and extensions. Exciting! Enjoyable session though, serious pump.

Day off tomorrow, hopefully some pressing on Thursday for my last session of the week.
AvatarRamsay777
Not trained in 4 days as I was away with my girlfriend for the weekend, but I heard the gym some new gear in so had to go have a quick shot!

The "New equipment sesh" consisted of axle clean+press, double-overhand axle deadlifts and some real glute-ham raises. Feeling fresh after a wee break and eating some calorific food, hopefully get a good few weeks of consistent training before I go on holiday in 3 and a half weeks time.

Proper overhead session tomorrow night.

Mediocre session today, maybe shouldn't have some daft on the axle yesterday.

16/09/13 - Overhead

BTN P/press
Bar x 10
50kg x 5, 5
70kg x 5
90kg x 3
100kg x 1
110kg x 3
120kg x 2 (Previous 1RM)
130kg x F, F (Just couldn't lock them out, 125's there)

This also aggravated my left knee dammit.

Axle P/press
65kg x 6
85kg x 5
100kg x 3

Was getting bugger all from my legs as I was scared for my knees, shouldn't have even attempted these.

Finished up with some DB lat raises and some knee rehab stuff. Was too early to start push-pressing!
AvatarRamsay777
Not done anything of note really since last session, though I did get a T'n'G bench PB of 157.5kg on Thursday.

Knees are bad again after those push presses, especially my left one, I haven't seen a professional yet but extensive googling points towards patellar tendonitis - Known causes in a weightlifting scenario being letting the knees pass the toes a great deal when squatting which is exactly what cause mine. Suggested rehab from mobiltywod is also working well.

Tonight I did some deadlift assistance.

Glute-Ham Raise
BW x 10, 10
+5kg x 6, 6, 6

Single Hamstring Curl
15kg x 10, 8, 8

Romanian Deadlifts
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
180kg x 5
200kg x 5
100kg x 20

Vee Bar Lat-Pulldowns
45kg x 10
60kg x 10
70kg x 8, 8, 8

DB rows - On incline bench, strict.
40kg x 12
45kg x 8
50kg x 6

Rear Delt Lat-Raises - In the cable machine.
3 x 12

BB Incline Shrugs - Pause at the top.
100kg x 10
120kg x 6, 6

Really enjoyable and surprisingly quick session.

300 by the start of next year hopefully Benvie, onwards.

23/09/13 - Overhead

Z Press
Bar x 5, 5
40kg x 5
60kg x 5
75kg x 5
90kg x 3
100kg x 1

Standing Strict Press - "Boring But Big" style.
50kg x 5x10

Partial DB Lat Raises
15kg x 50
17.5kg x 40
20kg x 30
22.5kg x 20
27.5kg x 10

Cable Rear Delts
3 x 12

Fun session, serious pump. I'm planning something along the lines of the "Boring But Big" assistance work for when I start blockhead in a few weeks, wanna keep it simple for a few months.

26/09/13 - Bench and stuff

Bench - All paused, no lift-off or spotter.
60kg x 5
80kg x 5
100kg x 5
120kg x 2
130kg x 1
140kg x 1
145kg x 1 (T'n'G)

Boring but big - All paused
80kg x 5x10

Felt damn strong on bench, bit annoying that I had to train alone. 150kg paused woulda happened tonight! The 80kg sets were brutal, mega pump.

Finished up with some cable flys, tricep work and rear delts. Nice session, hopefully a bench PB next week...
AvatarBenvie
That's some strong benching right there.

Okay, so I haven't trained for 10 days as I went on holiday for a week and had travelling either side, etc, etc. Just as well because I totally lost my drive, lost interest completely in what I was doing. I did one night, however hit 100kg x 2 strict press, which was nice.

SO, I got back yesterday and as planned I started Bish's "Blockhead" routine today. Going to do "boring but big" style assistance, wanting to keep it simple for the next 12 weeks.

Lowered my maxes slightly and plugged them in, basing this on a 150kg bench, 265kg dead and 95kg strict. No squatting still, the 4th day will be upper back stuff.

19/10/13 - Deadlifts
(Blockhead asks for at least 212.5kg x 5)
60kg x 5, 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 3
180kg x 2
200kg x 1
212.5kg x 5 - bingo

Considering I'm back from a week on the drink and eating crap food, I was very happy to hit this. 215x5 next week will be fine when I'm back into a cleaner regime.

GHRs
BW - 5x10

Finished up with some leg extensions and curls.

Good start.
