On z's squats honestly its the camera angle his squats were good. Thing is as you get tired you end up doing a good morning more so your hips do tend to be slightly high

True ... and strongman is the most brutal sport

Exactly, but bodybuilding is far more saleable and commercial but has a much greater participation level. I'd love to see strongman get the same level of funding as bbing and see how far comps like WSM could be pushed and maybe see more comps televised all year round.

Terry, do you think moving WSM to so early has had as big as an effect on competitors performances as people though it would?

[I'm ecstatic Z won. The GOAT imo

How could anyone ever dispute that?

He can be beat on a given day - that's been proven. But to be competing for 20+ years and be a multiple winner of every major comp has only been done by Z.

Even in the world of powerlifting, his lifts would be near the top across the three events.

Shaw and Thor may have the potential to get there as well, but that remains to be seen.

Yes indeed, well done Terry!

It obviously really says something when a guy can remain at WSM level for so many years. Even absent a win that is an absolutely incredible achievement.

I dont think its any shock that 4 guys that did great at the arnolds were a good bit better than everyone else.

I personally think the biggest positive from the comp was lack of serious injuries in the final. May have been a little lighter than some would like but best guys came out on top and everyone wasnt so battered as last year and year before

Do you not think the stones is too light though? Don't get why they don't have them heavier to same height platform an put 500lb+ stone to finish.

200kg would be enough. With run ins and fatigue thatd be fine.

185kg i think.

Which is not that heavy tbh considering how strong these guys are and how Shaw can do a 250kg stone...

I Reckon a 200kg would stop people getitng it and slow them down a bit.

Would a giant beast of a stone , like 220kg, to a lower platform be stupid or really stretch the best guys?

About my squat. I could have done more than 2 but needed 7 to move up 1 point and wasnt sure I could have done that many. In hindsight I wish id pushed it just to see what I could have got
