Probably could pull about another 20 in a suit. Just a guess.

Lol ye sorry even another 5-10k can be impossible when your at the limit, just that he seems to be able to lift just about anything, just comparing him to Hall in stature too that's crazy power.

I was thinking after agreeing with Adam about Tom being the best lifter in the UK I never even considered Ed Hall who IMO is probably the only lifter close to his level of ability in the UK (and far in excess) but for some reason I don't think of strong man when people say lifters just instantly think of powerlifting or maybe weightlifting.

I was meaning powerlifting as well.

Ed is probably the statically strongest man in the entire planet and would most likely break world records if he crossed over.

Great lifters, but I rate Tom higher.

Tom's got to beat Delroy in his class yet. He isn't outright best lifter in the country. He is up there in powerlifting...But Ed is the best.

I hope Loz does another full powerlifting meet in his current form after WSM.

I do think once Tom has settled at a weight around 120kg that he will put up some massive lifts in say 2 years.

agreed. ed recently posted a vid squatting 7 reps x 345kg, no belt, no wraps/sleeves, walked out with a pause on the last rep... all on some crappy whippy bar. i've little doubt he could squat well in excess of 450kg+ with wraps and mono. add to a 300kg+ bench. we all know what he can pull, so a 1200kg+ total would be no surprise.

Tom is competing in 2 weeks so he'll smash the UK 110kg record then.

I asked this on FB quite recently as that's a match I'd be interested in seeing and I'm thinking it's pretty inevitable, but neither came back to me. Come to think of it no one came back to me so I may have just thought I posted it.

Was chatting to Tom at a function last year and he was talking of having a good go at the all time best, but this was before the 500. Also, that he didn't fancy going much above 120k, but he seems to be carrying 110 very well so who knows.

Another thing that I've seen recently was an alleged interview with Clarence Kennedy who is looking to move over to PL from WL. Currently @ 100k with an 800+ whilst concentrating on OL, and could well end up in the same Fed (internationally at least) as Tom and Del. Interesting times in the PL world.
