Hi there, ive been training around 3 and a bit years now doing mainly bodybuilding type workouts, however i have done a little bit of powerlifting and now a very small amount of strongman which i love.

I've always included compound movements in my training, like ive always squatted, deadlifted etc etc..

I was just wandering whats an average strongman training routine in the gym as well as outside as i cant really find a whole lot on the net about how mark felix etc train.

thanks Happy

your just starting out in the strongman side of things and maruisz is a freak. so i would ignore what he does.
pull days
front squats of back squats
deadlift or power cleans
rows for upper back
abs or core work

Push
push press
close grip
incline press
shoulder prehab
abs or core

events
farmers
yoke
medley
stones

play around with the events and see what works for you

It is his job, and he is an alltime great, so a genetic anomaly too!

Plenty sleeping
"Perfect" nutrition
Ideal supplementation
Ideal recovery methods
Ideal special creatine

I thought "hey I can train heavy 6 days a week", I could, just everything got painful, if you want to do that it takes a while to build up.

Dont take any notice of what the pros do, as has been stated it is their job and I am almost certain they will be more genetically blessed than yourself with regards response to supplementation, recovery etc
