I don't think Ukraine needs to "beat" Russia, just hang on long enough for Russian troops to realise they'd rather be anywhere but fighting a war against a country they've probably not got a problem with. Fingers crossed that happens sooner rather than later.

We thought robot war meant terminator but maybe its just propaganda AIs fighting for dominance on social media.

526.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq		This week Europe blocked Russian media. Our governments have pretty much cut Diplomatic channels, with diplomats being kicked out and Putin being demonised. We are actively deaf to their point of view.

At the same time we have Sanctions including "confiscation" of 30% of Russia's central bank assets. If the sanctions aren't linked to peace diplomacy what's the point? Regime change? Didn't work in Cuba, Iran , Syria, North Korea etc. Russia has a lot more resources.

Sanctions and NATO providing weapons is needlessly escalating the conflict into Europe. To me arming Ukraine while ruling out intervention is just prolonging the inevitable defeat.

We are also crippling our economy. Diesel here has gone from €1.53 to €2+ since March. The exchequer is giving HGV drivers €100 to keep on the road and have cut import tax on fuel. The radio said it's costing 33million a week.

Won't happen.
If it gets to that stage and Putin can't take Ukraine he'll bomb it off it the map.

Also very much depends if that's how most Russian soldiers view things.
What if they believe they're there as peacekeepers to overthrow a tyrant with chemical weapons? Our troops fought for a long time for that cause.

I never realised the world was so black and white. Personally Id rather hear all sides and evidence.

Russia just switched to a National Domain Name System. All traffic into Russia goes via a single proxy and firewall setup now and all server hosting is behind this back in Russia. Good indicator that they are preparing a massive cyber war. They already released a zero day cyber attack on Microsoft Active Directory and installed wipers on Ukraines banks. The security team trying to restore the system got randsomwared. Time for backups of your photos music etc on a non network external hard drive. Their cable cutting spy ship keeps appearing off the coast of Ireland by the main USA/Europe data link. They also banned selling satellite launching rockets to the west.
