Don't follow powerlifting so never came across this story before.

Awesome amount of respect for that guy coming back, that accident looked f**king horrific, and he has some big brass balls for standing under a barbell again.

He seems like a cool guy. Is there a precedent for this type of injury? I know Zydrunas tore both patella tendons circa 2003 and came back to be one of the best squatters in the world. But as far as I know, Brandon seems to have had much more damage than just the patellas. I wonder what his prospects are for returning to 100%.

not sure on his progress post recovery and getting back to 100% but i guy i know Andy Cairney Ripped both his Knee caps off at the amature Arnolds comp a few years ago and is now a Top level Power lifter in the BPC and WPC so anything is possible. fingers are crossed for him but its a long road for him.

It's not a common injury, but it seems that one leg goes then the other in an accordion effect.
