Out of interest Paul, how do you know how many calories Becca consumes? I presume you’re not with her all day everyday?
There’s a LOT of evidence showing that morbidly obese people tend to dramatically underestimate their calorie intake.
As AMH_Power shows, it’s difficult to argue with the law of thermodynamics. Imagine a bath of water which you’ve got to keep at 37-degrees. Different baths may be made of different materials and be differing shapes which can affect their ability to retain heat, but the energy needed to keep the water warm is going to be fairly similar.

Thats a great analogy mate!

I just wish i could get to 170 on 2000 cals. I imagine i could rip up on 2000 cals

I'm her coach full time, not just in the gym. She literally doesn't eat anything without telling me what she's ate.

I don't count calories anymore, I did for the first few years but at this point I'm 16 years in so I can look at a meal and I know what's in it automatically. For me its basically eat as much as possible. I'll get Becca to count her calories on an app for example if she's very restricted or changes being made. This is something we will do now to show people what she's really eating with video of her doing it so people can't keep questioning it. We tested the under 2000 calories most days (again I said the average is higher, more carbs on training days, maybe double the calories post heavy event sessions) and it came to 1790 on a typical day of eating. I have actually tried to get her to eat more a lot of the time, especially during the UK's prep as she was never even hitting the 1250 target. She eats more now, it's about fuel and recovery for performance now, the bodyweight is very much secondary.

170kg on 1790 Cal's.

No chance. I'm willing to bet a years salary on it. I am categorically telling you that if I gave her 1790 Cal's a day and monitored her other eating habits, the weight would drop drastically quick.

A bed ridden obsese person with hypothyroidism can be given 1800 as a calorie restricted diet and still lose weight.

Maybe your calorie measuring eyeballs are out of calibration.

I'm half way through the Paul's journal I don't normally like spoilers but does anyone know if he made it as a British heavyweight? Under 90s strongman? Professional poker player? An who one the log press bet? Thanks in advance

Awesome, how much is your salary? How can we sort this though? Its not like we can keep a camera on her 24/7 or you could be with her 24/7 so not sure how to prove it 100%? We can do a video log with times and log everything in an app.

No, I didn't like boxing training, found it boring plus broke my foot from pushing off it a lot. Never got to u90, lowest I got was a bit over 100kg then g/f at the time convinced me to f**k it off (wasn't exactly healthy), now I'm 164.3kg haha I suppose I was a pro poker player for a while as in terms of that was my living and was making decent money and was doing ok part time too but online poker has totally changed now. Its really not profitable unless you do online cash or live play. Online tournaments are now all ran very fast in structure in order to get people paying to enter more tournaments. This means they have little skill involved. The bet didn't really take place as I got a shoulder injury the week after and had zero chance to do log at all. Charity ended up winning as that's where I gave the money. Enjoy your reading.

Paul will probably start a new journal entitled "The Decimation of BrenWad" detailing his training for the Troll dust-up of the century - just by The West Cornwall Pasty Co. kiosk at Euston Station - before an injury/new sport he is clearly a natural at/call from The Nobel Committee regarding his groundbreaking work in entropy and thermodynamics distracts him.

Then he hits the proverbial reset button, targets and focal points change, memory is reset and the merry go round continues.

FYI a large West Cornwall Pasty Co. Pasty has 1,040 calories - so if your lady friend has that, she only has another 600 calories or so to play with the rest of the day.
