session 2, lst night.
block pulls, 18 inch so just under the knees:
160x3, 200x2, 220x2, 230x1, 240x1.
Barbell shrugs: 160x6,6,6.

had a god awful night after that with acid indigestion again. cant get an appointment at the docs until next wednesday morning either. really need to eat the blandest of meals and cut right back on the coffee. Unhappy

acid, acid, acid. it burns! finally managed to get a docs appointment for wednesday. hopefully they can sort it out, a course of olaprazol most likely. its starting to f**k with my workouts and is f**king with my diet big time. down to just 1 coffee a day and drinking only water and milk other than that. food wise, as bland as bland can be: little salt, no spice, no citrus or vinegar.

Reflux/IBS? The missus has had this for years (full on exorcist style at times) been on omeprazole ever since. Dietician had her eliminate fodmaps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FODMAP) from her diet and re-introduce slowly to find out what were the main causes.

Peril of the job alas. Constantly working long hours thus needing caffeine and eating on the run.

got my knee wrap roller the other day. very handy tool indeed. pics are obviously of the roller and a before and after shot of the wraps.

well that felt hard!
session 1, squat:
usual mobility stuff and warm up sets then:
160x2, 185x2, 200x2, 215x1. last set was meant to be a double so again not happy.
Box squat: 150x3,3,3.

second session tonight i'm just going to do a few squats again, see if i can get that 215 double and do some more assist work.
sleep is f**ked as well as diet right now. roll on docs tomorrow.

ok, session 2, more effing squats!
warmed up to 160, then 180x1, 200x1, 215x2. so what i was meant to get this morning and it was not pretty!
Glute Ham Raises(blue band around bottom of station and neck) x12,12,12. where next with this? green band is going to be a hell of a lot harder. will try even just sets of 3 next time maybe.
and that was it folks. lower back thoroughly fried.

session 1 this morning. Bench:
warm up sets then 100x5, 115x3, 125x2, 137.5x1.
1st session since ditched the training partner so found it quite tricky benching in the cage with no hand out. i think i know what to do to fix it though. will try it tonight when i'm doing board pressing.
no post bbq acid death yet!

been to docs and as expected its acid reflux and oesophagitus. also as expected its caused by constantly eating on the run. got a course of omaprazole. need to take 2/day until symptoms go then drop it 1 a day. if its not sorted by the time i am through the 2 boxes i've to go back.
he gave me some tips for controlling it as well: dont eat food when its proper hot, let it cool a little first, dont eat in the 3 hours before bed, raise my head and chest in bed with a 3rd pillow to stop the acid coming up from my stomach. all of which makes sense to me. hopefully that will sort it.

Session 2 today turned out to just be more benching rather than assist work. prob not a bad thing this close to comp day. i got a double ply inzer rage x shirt second hand not so long ago but the arms were too long for me. found someone to take them up so i just had to try it!
warmed up without it to 90kg then put it on.
2 board press 110x5 120x3
1 board press 130x1.
no boards 140x almost touched, then the same again 140, just not quite to the chest. well beyond 1 board depth on both reps though. the weight flew up on all sets. i'm confident i get it to touch with 150, maybe 145. just going to work in this shirt until the comp. then i think i might do my opener in my old single ply super katana and move onto the rage x for 2nd and 3rd attempts.

Deadlifts. still having issues with suit at the moment. think i will end up just ditching it in favour of briefs for this comp. i can actually pull more raw easier than i can with a suit at the moment!
70x5, 120x3, 150x2, 185x2, 202.5x1, 217.5x1(poor lock out)217.5x1(poor lock out again).
i know what the issue is as well, the suit is making it too hard to get into a good starting position from the floor which in turn is making locking out anything remotely heavy even harder.
so i think thats decision made, briefs for this comp then fix the suit set up. got plenty of time to work on it as i've nothing else planned for the rest of this year.

more Deadlifts tonight. just in briefs as a trial.
70x5, 120x2, 170x1, 190x1, 210x1. probably not much more in the tank so just left it there. for sure its easier to lock out though.

Bench Assist, since i never actually did any the other day.
3 board press(raw) 120x3,3,3,3,3.
Triceps push down, green band x12,12,12.
Face pulls, green band x12,12,12.

hopefully this will help with lock out strength and balance shoulders out a bit.

stubborn bas***d! more deadlifting in the suit this time.
70x1, 70x1, 70x1, 120x1, 150x1, 190x1, 210x1. more in the tank all nice and fast. i MAY have gotten the technique sorted for this suit. pull yourself down to the bar, sit right back and down, arch back and pull shoulders back, push chest up, raise hips, then start the lift. doing the lite singles at the start helped sort things. also i've taken my lever on the forever belt in 1 notch.
